Dr. Blythe McPherson is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and Therapeutic Optometrist from the Texas Panhandle. She graduated with honors in Biological Sciences from Texas Tech University. Dr McPherson graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston-College of Optometry, and completed extensive training to become an optometric glaucoma specialist. Her first internship was at Plaza Vision Center in Dallas with a renowned cornea and contact lens specialist where she managed complex contact lens fittings for various corneal anomalies. Her second internship was at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic where she had advanced training in glaucoma as well as diabetic retinopathy and cataract management. She received many clinical Letters of Excellence while in school and was awarded the Excellence in Medical Eye Service award. Dr. McPherson practices medical optometry specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, glaucoma, dry eye, contact lens fittings, and LASIK management. She is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association.
Dr. McPherson is excited to be living in Plano and join the Lakeside Vision and Optical team. As a former collegiate basketball player, she enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, spending time with her friends and family, as well as traveling. She is a sports enthusiast who loves watching Texas Tech football and the Dallas Mavericks basketball team.
